Keri Lynn Russell is an actress from the United States. She played the title character on the drama series Felicity from 1998 to 2002, which won her a Golden Globe Award, and Elizabeth Jennings on the FX spy thriller series The Americans from 2013 to 2018, which got her nominated for several Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.
Russell is in a relationship with Matthew Rhys. The two of them were in The Americans together. In the new movie, which comes out on Friday, they play Sari and Andrew C. Thornton, respectively (February 24). Russell told Digital Spy in an exclusive interview how her boyfriend got cast in the movie.
A lot of people think that they are married. Even though they have a son together, the couple is not married yet. The two people have been together for a long time and get along well. In this article, we’ll talk in-depth about Keri Russell’s boyfriend and how they got together.
How Did Russell Start Dating Rhys?
Russell was married to a contractor named Shane Deary, in February 2007. The former couple, who share a son River (born in June 2007), and a daughter Willa (born in December 2011), called it quits in early 2013.
After she broke up with Deary, the Antlers actress started dating Rhys in secret. At first, both of them tried to keep their budding relationship a secret. Even though they tried to keep their relationship a secret for a while, one of their American directors eventually found out.
“He had to direct us in a very explicit scene, and he was talking to the script supervisor. “He was like, ‘Well, this could be awkward,'” Russell said on an episode of Off Camera With Sam Jones from 2018. “We kind of did it right away and just did it. The director then told the person in charge of the script, “These two have definitely f*cked.” He says, “They’re way too used to each other.”
Sam was born in May 2016. He was their first child together. “It’s scary that sometimes they say or do exactly what you just did or said. You go, ‘Ahh! Don’t imitate me!” Rhys told Us Weekly in May 2018 that when the boy was a toddler, he liked to act like his dad. “I heard a parrot-like sound in the corner. I was like, ‘Ah! I said ‘duck,’ you little turd.'” In interviews conducted in 2021, they referred to each other as husband and wife.
