Actress, singer, and producer Barbara Eden is most well-known for her portrayal of Jeannie in the television series I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970), Stella Johnson, a single widowed mother, in the film Harper Valley PTA (1962), and Roslyn Pierce, opposite Elvis Presley, in Flaming Star (1960). Because of the popularity of the movie, Eden played Stella Johnson for two seasons in the TV series Harper Valley PTA.

Although she was most known for her role as the genie in I Dream of Jeannie, iconic actress Barbara Eden was also doing romantic miracles in her personal life. She’s been married thrice: to ex-husbands Michael Ansara and Charles Fegert, and to her current husband Jon Eicholtz. Barbara married Jon Eicholtz in 1991. Jon is an architect and real estate developer. After getting a degree in Architectural Engineering from Kansas University, he started a successful career. In 2014, the couple started their own scholarship at Jon’s old school for students who wanted to become actors.

In 2019, in an exclusive interview with Closer, Barbara told the secret to a happy marriage. “If you’re having a small problem, you should put yourself in the other person’s shoes,” she said. “Try to see it from their perspective. It isn’t simple! But do.” So it’s no wonder that these two are still together.

In an interview with People in October 2021, Barbara said that she was very happy with her third husband and the quiet life they led together.

She said, “I’m really lucky.” “I have dear friends. I have a great family, a husband who is always there for me, and a cute but spoiled dog. I am very happy, yes. I think everything in life has to work out on its own. Most things happen for a reason, and I can’t change that.

Know About Barbara Eden’s Previous Marriages And Her Son

In 1958, the legend tied the wedding for the first time to actor Michael. In August of 1965, they became parents for the first time to a little boy named Matthew. They later divorced, though, in 1974. Barbara referred to her lone kid as “our lucky-charm baby” in her memoirs, Jeannie Out of the Bottle.

Matthew, who was 35 years old, died on June 25, 2001, from a drug overdose. Gene Schwam, Eden’s publicist, said that she was “shocked” and “devastated” by the news at the time. Eden was helping him get ready for his wedding to Leanna Green on September 1, 2001, when the tragedy happened. At the time of his death, her son was an actor and a fitness trainer.

Matthew was in great shape because he was a bodybuilder, and he was healthy when he died. When Eden’s son died, she was already living with her third husband, and he helped her through her grief. A spokesman for Eden said that Matthew’s body was found in a Chevron service station near Los Angeles. Before paramedics told the actress’s son was dead at 9:15 p.m., a station worker found him.

In 1977, after getting divorced for the first time, Barbara said her vows to Charles. In 1982, after a short marriage of five years, the couple divorced. Although spending some time enjoying her single status, the Harper Valley PTA alum eventually tied the knot for the third time with Jon in 1991.
