Madhouse Studio never fails to impress us. Almost every type of animation has been mastered by the company, and it continues to do so with everything it creates.
The studio’s most recent successful adaptation, ‘Chihayafuru,‘ offers a taste of nearly every major anime genre. Sports, romance, slice-of-life, and even humour abound in this anime.
Its captivating storey, though, is what lifts it to greatness. Almost every aspect of the storey contributes to the overall plot, and it is, of course, a visual spectacle thanks to Madhouse’s animation.
If you’ve been following ‘Chihayafuru’ for any length of time, you’re undoubtedly wondering when a new season would be released. As a result, here’s everything you need to know about the show’s fourth season.
Chihayafuru Season 4 Release Date
Season 1 of ‘Chihayafuru’ aired from October 5, 2011, to March 28, 2011, with a total of 25 episodes. From January 12, 2013, to June 29, 2013, a second season was shown.
Its third season, which lasted over six years, debuted on October 23, 2019, and ended on March 24, 2020, with a total of 24 episodes.
Given the anime’s popularity, a new season would almost certainly be profitable for Madhouse Studio. Furthermore, the manga series from which it was adapted had a total of 43 published volumes, demonstrating that the anime’s creators were not limited by a shortage of source material.
Madhouse Studio, on the other hand, is one of the world’s largest anime studios, having previously accomplished high-profile projects such as ‘One-Punch Man,’ ‘No Game No Life,’ and a slew of others.
As a result, it’s unlikely that the studio will contemplate restarting ‘Chihayafull’ in the near future. This also explains why the anime’s third season took over six years to complete.
We can’t comment on the show’s renewal because we haven’t received any promises from the studio.

Chihayafuru Season 4 Plot
‘Chihayafuru’ portrays Chihaya Ayase, a young girl who spends almost her entire life to her sister’s modelling career. Her life, however, begins to change when she meets Arata Wataya, an exceptional Karuta player.
Arata is confident in Chihaya’s ability to succeed in the game, and he persuades her that she, too, can succeed in anything. Chihaya now goes on an altogether new journey, striving to become Japan’s best Karuta player. She later reconnected with Arata by forming a high school Karuta club with one of her classmates.
