Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 – Everything You Need To Know!

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11 ended in December of last year. Fans had been waiting patiently for news of a Season 12, and they finally got it when the show was renewed. Now, showrunner Jeff Schaffer has taken the time to make it clear that there are plenty of ideas for the new season and that it’s in the works.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has had a bit of a shaky schedule since it started airing in 2000, but it will be back for its tenth and eleventh seasons in 2020 and 2021. This was, of course, after the show took a break for six years between seasons 8 and 9, which came out in 2011 and 2017, respectively.

Larry David, the show’s main creator and star, announced Season 12 earlier this year, but little was known about how far along the new season was. In a recent interview with IndieWire, Schaffer, who is in charge of the show, gave fans this much-needed update. Schaffer said that writers are already hard at work on a new season because they want to start filming this fall:

Schaffer told IndieWire, “We’re writing it right now, and I don’t know when we’ll start shooting, maybe late fall.” “We’re right in the middle of it. A dry-erase board is what I’m looking at. […] We mostly just sit in a room together, show each other our weird scars, and come up with new ideas. Cockroaches are like funny things. It’s hard to kill them. They don’t leave, and I think we’re just cockroaches in a comedy.”

Schaffer, who has been making, writing, and directing the HBO show since Season 5, talked about what it’s like to work with David during the interview. He said that David puts all of his ideas into each season, and when it’s over, it feels like he has no more ideas. In Season 11, David’s death was filmed, but Schaffer is sure that David will not die from lack of ideas.

Schaffer talked about how it feels to make a season of Curb while talking about David’s creative side. He said:

“When you sign up for a season of ‘Curb,’ you’re signing up for the last season of ‘Curb,’ and I finally figured out why. It’s because when Larry makes a season, he includes all of the ideas he really likes. So there’s a hole at the end of the season because he doesn’t have any ideas he really likes. How could he do another season? He is the only person on Earth who doesn’t think he will have any more good ideas.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is a show about a character who is based on the show’s creator, David. It’s not a typical scripted show. Most of the plots are set, but most of the conversations are made up on the spot by the actors, which makes for hilarious TV. In 2022, the last season was up for four Emmys, including one for Outstanding Comedy Series. David, Jeff Garlin, and Schaffer are the show’s executive producers. Laura Streicher is the co-executive producer, and Jon Hayman and Steve Leff are consulting producers.
