Lee was a standout linebacker at Ohio State, where he was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2014. He played in 28 games for the Buckeyes over the next two seasons, earning All-American honors in 2015. Lee announced his decision to enter the 2016 NFL Draft in January of that year and went on to have an impressive showing at the NFL Combine, solidifying his status as a first-round pick. The Jets selected him with the 20th overall pick, and Lee played for the team for three seasons before being traded to the Chiefs in 2019.
