Justice Hill found the end zone twice as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Houston Texans 25-9 on a Sunday afternoon showdown at M&T Bank Stadium. Hill, a fourth-round running back, made an impact with eight carries for nine yards, contributing to the Ravens’ total of 110 rushing yards.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson also played a significant role in the ground game, leading the team with six carries for 38 yards. Jackson showcased efficiency in the passing game, completing 17 of 22 attempts for 169 yards and one interception.

In terms of total offense, Houston managed 268 yards compared to the Ravens’ 265, with both teams earning 18 first downs. Baltimore held a slight advantage in time of possession, maintaining control of the ball for 29 minutes and 5 seconds, while Houston possessed it for 30 minutes and 55 seconds. However, the Ravens were penalized 13 times for a total of 106 yards, while the Texans had nine penalties for 88 yards.

The second overall pick had a solid performance, completing 28 of 44 passes for 242 yards, resulting in a passer rating of 78.0. The Ravens’ defense put significant pressure on Stroud, sacking the rookie quarterback five times, and Stroud also contributed with four carries for 20 yards. Notably, Stroud’s first career completion was an unusual one, as it went to himself.

The Texans faced challenges in their pass defense, with two crucial penalties affecting their performance. Nelson was called for a 26-yard defensive pass interference penalty with 14:53 left in the second quarter, and Derek Stingley incurred a 17-yard pass interference penalty with 6:07 remaining in the third quarter, both of which were while defending Odell Beckham.
