A Relative of Floyd Mayweather’s girlfriend died in the boxer’s Las Vegas condo, according to reports.
Jarrett Johnson, now 24, was a great football player in high school and at Lindenwood University, where he played in different positions.
Johnson was a relative of Jamie Lynn, who was said to be Mayweather’s on-and-off girlfriend.
TMZ says that on August 22, a friend found Johnson dead in Floyd’s condo.
Johnson and Mayweather were getting close, and Money could be seen in a few of Johnson’s social media posts.
It is not clear if Jarrett lived in the house when he died or not.
Mayweather owns more than one home in Las Vegas, and the condo in question is not thought to be his main residence.
After the news of Johnson’s death spread on Thursday evening, many people paid tribute to him on social media.
Johnson’s old football team, Lindenwood Football, tweeted that they were saddened by his death.
Johnson was the quarterback for his high school team and was named the Southeast Missouri All-Region Athlete of the Year.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of former Lion Jarrett Johnson during this hard time,” the Lindenwood account said.
“A Lion is a Lion for Life.”
Jarrett’s family was already sad about the death of his 18-year-old brother Justice in 2019.
Mayweather is “distraught” about the news, according to reports.
