Selena Gomez has explained the meaning of her and Cara Delevingne’s matching tattoos, which have sparked speculation about their relationship.
During an interview on the Live with Kelly and Ryan show on Monday, Gomez disclosed the truth, stating the tattoo “means a couple of different things.”
“But for me and Cara [Delevingne], one of my best friends who I’ve known since I was maybe 16 when we met – she calls me ‘Rosebud,'” the diva revealed. So it’s a moniker, and I’ve always wished for a rose.”
After romance rumors with model and actress Cara, singer and actress Selena Gomez has explained the purpose behind matching tattoos.
It all started when celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang shared a photo of Gomez’s most recent tattoo, a pink rose on the nape of her neck, on his Instagram account.
Bang Bang – actual name Keith Scott McCurdy – later revealed to his 2.5 million followers that he had tattooed the same image on Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-star and closest friend Cara Delevingne in a separate post the same day.
After the 29-year-olds were seen kissing in New York in November last year, the news prompted rumors that Delevingne and Gomez were dating.
Gomez previously stated in an interview with Pride Source that she “didn’t mind” the rumors and that Delevingne “just makes me open.”
