Livingston’s flexible body caught the attention of her coaches, and she would go on to become a three-time national champion of Canada and the Pan-American champion in 1999. Her impressive athletic past saw her clinch the 17th spot all-around at the XXVII Olympiad during the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

Aside from her Olympic career, Livingston is also a Canadian dancer, aerialist, and contortionist. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles after retiring from gymnastics, where she studied drama. Emilie Livingston met Jeff Goldblum in a gym in California, and their romance started with the actor approaching her and starting a conversation. Goldblum told Wired, “We were at Equinox on Sunset Blvd., which is a gym.” He went on: “I saw her across a crowded room, and I walked up to her, mesmerized, and started talking to her about something.”

Before their 2014 wedding at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, the couple dated for three years. Despite their significant age difference, they sought the help of a therapist before letting their friends and family in on their love.
