Michaels said, “What’s interesting about DeShanna is that she was a D1 athlete, which means she was a really good athlete… “Okay, I’m going to start working out. Jillian Michaels and DeShanna Marie Minuto started dating near the end of 2018, but it wasn’t made public until the middle of 2019 that they were together. Minuto first posted a Christmas photo with Michaels on December 24, 2018, with just the words “Merry Christmas.”  A few days later, on December 27, Minuto posted another picture of herself and Michaels with the words “I YOU” next to it. Michaels replied in the thread, “You sure do. You make me feel special.”

Michaels talked to People about their relationship after they got engaged. She said, “It’s easy to stay together when everything is going well, but when real life starts and things get messy, hard, scary, or even downright ugly, that’s when the truth comes out.”

“And this woman has shown me that she is stronger than I could have imagined, smarter than her years, and more loving than I could have imagined. I’m so happy to finally be able to call her mine.”

Michaels told DeShanna Marie Minuto on Instagram on November 27, 2021, that she was going to marry her. They got married in 2022. People said that Michaels and DeShanna got married at a courthouse in Miami on July 11, 2022. The following week, though, they had a small wedding and honeymoon in Namibia. The couple is said to be planning to get married on June 23, 2023, in Venice, Italy.

Michaels has two kids with his ex-girlfriend Heidi Rhoades: 13-year-old Lukensia and 10-year-old Phoenix.
