Michael Hanano is an A&R Representative, creative director, and photographer who works for God Mode Studios in Los Angeles. He was born and grew up in Waimea, Hawaii, where he also went to school through the first grade. Michael went to Hawaii Preparatory Academy and then got a job as a Camera Assistant at Great Divide Pictures, where he worked with the National Parks Service of Hawaii.

After graduation, Michael volunteered to teach English as a Second Language in Bali, Indonesia, as part of a gap year program called Year On, where he was a fellow. He also worked as a photographer and videographer during this time to beef up his portfolio, alongside attending workshop classes. Michael started working as a Marketing Manager for Carpool Tunnel band in December 2018. His job was to create material and come up with marketing plans. Then, he went from San Francisco to Los Angeles and began working for Lofty Philosophy as an Artist Manager and Creative Strategist.

Michael has always been interested in photography and took photos of bands and artists during concerts, doubling his efforts after moving to Los Angeles. He shows off his photos on Instagram, but on his website, he does it better. Since January 2023, he has been working as an A&R Representative at God Mode Studios.
