Who Is Luka Doncic Wife? Are They Married?

NBA star Luka Doncic and his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, celebrated the birth of their first child, a daughter named Gabriela, in late 2023. The couple, who have been together since 2016, first met as children in Croatia. “People have [a] best friend, boyfriend, true love. I’m lucky they are all the same person,” Goltes expressed on Instagram in 2018.

Doncic proposed to Goltes on July 7, 2023, in Slovenia — a date that may reference his jersey number, 77.

Less than a year later, Goltes supported Doncic during the NBA Playoffs in May 2024, sharing photos on Instagram that included Gabriela at a game. In a March 2020 Instagram Story Q&A, Goltes recounted how they first met.

“I’ve answered this question like a million times. We met when we were 12 years old at the seaside in Croatia,” she said (via the New York Post). “Fun fact: We still have the same group of friends we had at that time. You keep the real ones, am I right?”

When asked by Cosmopolitan SI how Doncic won her over, Goltes shared that his young and playful energy attracted her and still does. In early December 2023, the couple announced Gabriela’s arrival on Instagram with the caption, “Gabriela 💕!”

Luka Dončić Leads Mavericks To First NBA Finals Since 2011

Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks secured their first NBA Finals appearance since 2011, clinching the Western Conference title with a dominant 124-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 at the Target Center. This victory marks the Mavericks’ third Finals appearance, where they will face the Boston Celtics, who swept the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals.

Dončić, named the Western Conference Finals MVP, led the charge with a postseason-high 36 points. “It was Luka magic mode,” said coach Jason Kidd. Dončić set the tone early, scoring 10 points in the first 153 seconds and outscoring the Timberwolves 20-19 by himself in the first quarter, highlighted by a logo 3-pointer and frequent glares at a courtside fan. He also tallied 10 rebounds and 5 assists. “Everybody knows that gets me going,” Dončić said.

Kyrie Irving, who also scored 36 points, praised Dončić’s performance. “You’re just watching a special performance,” he said. The duo became the first to score at least 35 points each in a conference finals game since Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in 2001. They combined for 44 points in the first half, outscoring Minnesota by four, and led the Mavericks to a 29-point halftime lead, the largest ever for a team clinching a Finals spot.

Dončić and Irving each finished with 30 points for the fourth time during the playoffs, joining Lakers legends Elgin Baylor and Jerry West. Center Daniel Gafford contributed 11 points and 9 rebounds. Reflecting on their success, Dončić said, “It’s us against them. Just stay together, and that feeling’s great.”

Dallas, with a 7-2 road record during this playoff run, tied the franchise record for road wins in a single postseason. Dončić, who waited six seasons for his first Finals appearance, is aiming to be the first player to win a scoring title and NBA championship in the same season since Shaquille O’Neal in 2000. “But we’re not done. We have four more to go,” Dončić asserted.
