Mama June is a member of the famous Shannon family. It is an American family whose members are best known for appearing on reality TV. The family first showed up on TV in 2011, when June “Mama June” Shannon and her then-five-year-old daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson appeared on the TLC show Toddlers & Tiaras.

On February 18 in Panama City, Florida, Mama June Shannon and her husband, Justin Stroud, tied the knot for the second time. The wedding, which took place on the beach, will air on the new season of Mamma June: Family Crisis, premiering on WE tv on May 5. Guests included Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, her husband Joshua Efird, and their children Stella, Sylus, and Bently, as well as Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, and Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell. How Did Mama And Her Husband Justin meet?

The reality star and her now-husband met on TikTok, which is a short video app. In a podcast interview with HollywoodLife, Mama June said that Justin didn’t know she was famous. “We started out as friends, and he didn’t know who Mama June was when he met me,” she said, explaining that she hadn’t told him that she had been a victim of domestic violence before they met.

The connection sounds like a pleasant surprise. “I was told that he wasn’t interested in me and that he wasn’t single. But it turned out he liked people like me, and he was single!” she said.

Detail About Mama And Justin’s Wedding

In March 2022, when they got married, the couple had only been together for about five months. The wedding took place in a courthouse in Georgia. Then, on February 18, 2023, they had a bigger wedding in Florida for their family. 

“This was the first time my whole family had been together since 2014,” said the 43-year-old bride. “So getting married in a place where my family and I have so many memories was really special.”

Mama June has been open about her struggles with drugs and how her ex-boyfriend, Geno Doak, is said to have abused her, but Justin has also had problems in the past. The Sun says that Justin was arrested in February 2022 because he had broken his probation for drug and burglary charges from before. He was taken into custody in Boca Raton, Florida, but about a month later, he was let go.

Mama June Has Four Daughters

Mama June and Justin are now happily married, and it seems like Mama June’s daughters have accepted Justin as well. Mama June is the mother of four girls: Alana “Honey Boo Boo,” Anna, Jessica, and Lauryn. Even though Mama June and her oldest daughter aren’t close and have a complicated relationship, it seems like the girls have grown to really like Justin. “At first, the girls were cold toward him,” she told The Sun in an interview in May 2022. “Being in a bad situation and being addicted to drugs, and then leaving that relationship, even though I got clean while I was in it… Then, six to almost eight months later, they started this new relationship, which was strange for them at first.”

Even though her daughters may have found it hard to understand the new relationship at first, it seems like they’ve come to terms with Justin. “They all get along now. He’s been on a few family trips with us, and we all hang out together.” She said in that interview, “You know, they don’t have a problem with him.”
