As they walked down the aisle, they laughed and giggled with great joy. In the description, the website congratulated the new couple and said that Maria’s husband’s name is “Jon.”

Maria met her ex-husband at the Charlotte Hornets basketball team in North Carolina in 2014.
Maria told The Knot, “I remember seeing him and saying to my friend, ‘If we keep coming to these games, I’m going to end up dating him.'”

The couple got married in May 2019 at the oceanfront Hilton Sandestin in Destin, Florida. “We used to have SEC coaches meetings there,” Maria said.

Rodney, on the other hand, was also interested in her, so he asked his friend if she “played for the WNBA in Charlotte.” Maria said that Rodney thought “maybe I was there to support one of the guys like I was the girlfriend of a player or something.”

Rodney asked her out “on a dare,” and their first date was in a parking lot where they ate.
“You’re not as tall as I am,” he told her. Maria said, “We ended up talking until 5 a.m. in the parking lot. “I’ve never had that feeling before, where I just look at someone and think, “That’s the one.”
