Coming from a family of six siblings, three sisters, and two brothers, her father owned an Indian restaurant and was a chef who originated from Beanibazar.

At the age of 14, Hussain started wearing a hijab, initially to cover up her “bad hair” that her father had cut poorly. During her teenage years, she was diagnosed with panic disorder and underwent cognitive behavioral therapy.
