Naomi King Biden, born on December 21, 1993, is an American lawyer and the eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle. She is also the granddaughter of U.S. President Joe Biden. Raised in Washington, D.C., she attended the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia Law School before starting her career as an associate at Arnold & Porter, a law firm.
As a member of the First Family, she resided in the White House alongside her grandfather and step-grandmother, Jill Biden, from August 2022 to March 2023. During this time, Biden joined them on official visits to China, Brazil, Turkey, New Zealand, and Trinidad and Tobago while her grandfather served as Vice President and her step-grandmother as Second Lady.
In this article, we delve into her personal life, addressing the curiosity surrounding Naomi Biden’s husband while also discussing the recent incident involving a Secret Service Agent firing a gun during a car break-in while protecting Naomi Biden.
Naomi Biden, President Joe Biden’s eldest granddaughter, and Peter Neal, a graduate from Pennsylvania Law, have officially tied the knot. They got engaged in September 2021 and exchanged vows on the South Lawn of the White House on Nov. 19, 2022, marking the first wedding held at the property in nine years.
Announcing their venue choice on Twitter, Naomi expressed gratitude to her grandparents for the opportunity to celebrate their union at the White House. Their relationship began in 2018 when they were introduced by a mutual friend in New York City.

Three years later, Neal proposed. He shares Naomi’s passion for politics and even served as a White House intern during the Obama-Biden administration. In April 2023, Naomi commemorated her husband’s birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post featuring photos from their wedding day, captioned, “Love you forever; like you for always 💖.”
A Secret Service agent assigned to safeguard President Biden’s granddaughter reportedly discharged their weapon at three individuals breaking into an unoccupied government vehicle in Washington. However, it seems that no one was hit during the incident, which occurred around 11:30 p.m. in Georgetown.
The individuals, who fled the scene in a red vehicle, apparently were unaware that the vehicle was part of the protective detail for Naomi Biden, and there was no specific threat to her or any other “protectees.” Both the Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service are conducting an investigation into the matter.
The circumstances behind why the agent fired a shot in a densely populated area remain unclear. According to guidelines set by the Department of Homeland Security, agents are not permitted to fire warning shots or shoot at a moving vehicle to prevent someone from fleeing a crime scene unless there is a direct threat that justifies the use of deadly force.
