Know About Ryan Murphy’s Husband, David Miller, And Their Relationship

At the 2023 Golden Globes, Ryan Murphy won one of the night’s biggest prizes. The creator of Glee, Pose, and American Horror Story was given the 4th annual Carol Burnett Award at a ceremony on Sunday. On Tuesday, when he accepted the award, he gave special thanks to the stars of the shows.

“When I was a young person at home in the 1970s watching “The Carol Burnett Show,” I never once saw a person like me win an award or even be a character on a TV show,” Murphy said. “It’s hard to be an LGBTQ kid in America, or anywhere else in the world, back then or now.” Murphy also paid tribute to other LGBTQ actors he’s worked with during his career, like Matt Bomer, Niecy Nash, and Jeremy Pope, who he called “north stars” for LGBTQ youth. Meet Ryan’s Husband David Miller

Miller is a freelance photographer living in Los Angeles. His work ranges from commercials to fashion shoots; you can see some of it on his website. But he was a commercial location manager for more than ten years before he started his photography business. Ford, IBM, and Apple were his most famous clients.

When Did Ryan And David, First Meet To Each Other?

Miller and Murphy met at a Los Angeles restaurant called Muse in 1996. The report says that Miller was “in awe” of Murphy’s courage. They started hanging out together, and their friendship lasted for almost 15 years. In 2010, they went a step further and started dating. Miller says he was the first person to ask Murphy on a date.

Miller told The New Yorker, “It was kind of like—I don’t want to say, ‘Game on,’ but we knew what was up because we’d been flirting for years. We were both serious about wanting a relationship and children at the time.

Ryan And Miller Got Married In 2012

Two years after their first official date, on July 4, 2012, they got married in a small ceremony. On a beach in Provincetown, they said their vows. Only the person in charge of the ceremony was there. Both of them have been pretty quiet about their marriage.

Murphy made a show called The New Normal about a successful gay couple who want to have a baby. Murphy said he wanted to show how hard it is for a gay couple to try to have a child, even though the show only ran for one season.

During a conversation with Collider, he told us, “The show is loosely based on my life, and it came about because my partner and I have been talking about surrogacy. If you watch the show, we hope to really give this couple a lot of depth. Being a gay couple with a child isn’t easy, but we deal with those problems.”

Miller And Murphy Have Three Kids

Miller and Murphy are both parents to three children. The happy couple had their first child, Logan, on Christmas Eve 2012, and then had another child, Ford Theodore, through a surrogate in 2014. And Griffin Sullivan was born in August 2020.

Murphy told Entertainment Tonight that he is the biggest softie when they asked him about how he raises his children. He said, “I thought I was going to be the great disciplinarian and very strict, but I’m shocked to tell you I’m the opposite. I’m the weakest link.”
