Shawn Paul Bradley is a German-American former professional basketball player who was born on March 22, 1972. He used to play in the NBA and was known as “The Stormin’ Mormon.” and was paralyzed in an accident on January 20, 2021, which changed his life.
Bradley was on his bike when a car came behind him and hit him. But even though Shawn’s life has changed a lot, his wife Carrie Cannon, and their children give him the comfort and support he needs to get through this.
Shawn got a divorce from Annette Evertson in January 2018, and then he married Carrie in February of that year. Shawn played in the NBA for 12 years. He and his wife, Evertson, have six kids: four girls named Chelsea, Ciera, Charity, and Cheyenne, and two boys named Chase and Chance. Shawn and Annette seemed to have a solid relationship. He often said that she helped him get through hard times, so their breakup was a bit of a shock.
Let’s talk about the former basketball player’s divorce in this post.
Shawn Bradley met Annette Evertson in Philadelphia at a Mormon church, and they got along right away. They went out for a while and got married in 1993. They had four girls named Chelsea, Ciera, Charity, and Cheyenne, and two boys named Chase and Chance.
The sweet couple had to go their separate ways, which was sad. Bradley once said, “I can’t even think about what my life would be like without her.” “Stuff will go downhill. I don’t think I could get by without your help, Annette.” I said it. In fact, what he once feared has come true, but only partly. A sudden change in the couple’s relationship weakened their strong and long-lasting bond.
After being married for more than 25 years and having six children together, the couple split up. Around 2017 and 2018, there were rumors that Annette and Bradley were going to break up. The rumors that the couple was going to split up turned out to be true. Even though the real reason for their split hasn’t been found out yet, and the year of the split is also unknown. Even so, both sets of ex-spouses have shown that life is pretty good after the split.

Shawn married Carrie in January 2018, after divorcing his ex-wife Annette Evertson. Carrie’s job isn’t very clear, but she seems to have her hands full with her five kids and Shawn, who needs her care even more now.
Shawn’s team, the Dallas Mavericks, put out a statement that said, “Bradley is in a good mood because his wife Carrie is with him all the time and because he has a great team of people helping him get better and his family. He wants to use his accident to help people understand how important it is to be safe when riding a bike.”
The former second overall pick recently told Sports Illustrated about the bike accident that left him paralyzed in January 2021. Bradley talked about the accident with the Dodge minivan that happened near his home in St. George, Utah.
Bradley, who is 7 feet 6 inches tall, hit his head on the road, cracking his crash helmet. He was in the ICU for three weeks, but doctors couldn’t stop his spine from getting hurt badly. He lost movement below the chest and has been in a wheelchair ever since.
Bradley was brave enough to talk to SI about what happened and admit that he had thought about killing himself. Bradley told the newspaper, “Maybe it would be better if this was all over.” “Yes, those thoughts do come to mind, and they are real. I can’t see myself ever acting on those ideas, but I do have them.”
