Shubdeep Singh Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi singer, and Congress activist was murdered near Mansa on May 29, 2022. The 28-year-old guy was shot at least ten times near a temple in the village of Jhawahar Ke, and he was pronounced dead at the Civil Hospital in Mansa.
This occurs shortly after Moose Wala’s comfort blanket was removed. He was one of the Punjab lawmakers who lost their security cover as part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s plan to end the VIP culture.
When Moose Wala joined Congress in November of 2021, there was quite a stir. When the singer was given a ticket from the Mansa Assembly constituency by the Congress, the incumbent Mansa MLA, Nazar Singh Manshahia, abandoned the party and stated that he would vote against the singer’s candidacy.
Sidhu Moose Wala was from Moosa, a little village near Mansa. He has sung a number of hit songs in recent years. In Mansa, Moose Wala ran for the Assembly on the Congress party’s ticket. He was defeated by Dr. Vijay Singla of the AAP, who received 63,323 more votes than him.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, often known as Sidhu Moosewala, was born into a farmer’s family in the Moosa village of Mansa. The 28-year-old electrical engineer graduated from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana in 2016 but moved to Canada in early 2017 to record his first single.
Bhola Singh Sidhu, Moosewala’s father, is a retired government employee and a farmer, while Charan Kaur is the Moosa village sarpanch. In December 2018, she won the election by 600 votes.
Following his graduation, Moosewala relocated to Canada and published his first song, ‘G Wagon.’ In 2018, he rose to prominence with his song ‘So High.’ On the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, his debut album PBX1 was ranked 66th. His single ’47’ is charted in the United Kingdom. His song Bambiha Bole reached number five on the global YouTube music list. In 2021, he released Moosetape tracks, which were also well-received around the world. He gave live performances in India and a number of other nations. Moosewala later established his own record label, 5911 Records. The majority of his songs focused on the Jat Sikh community.
Moosewala has also appeared in Punjabi films such as ‘Yes, I am Student,’ ‘Teri Meri Jodi,’ and ‘Gunah.’ He starred in the film ‘Moosa Jatt,’ which was released in October 2021 but did not perform well at the box office. In March 2022, his film ‘Jattan da Mundan Gaun Lagya’ was released.

Moosewala drew a lot of flak for his songs that promoted gun culture. Two videos featuring Moosewala became popular in May 2020. Moosewala was shown flaunting a personal handgun in one video, which involved five cops, and showed him training with an AK-47. Following this, six cops were suspended on May 19. Because the incident occurred in Barnala, the singer was also arrested under the Arms Act.
He was granted regular bail in July 2020 and later joined investigations. In June of the same year, he was penalized for wearing black-tinted glasses in Nabha.
In July 2020, Moosewala released the song “Sanju,” in which he claimed that the FIRs filed against him were “badges of honor.”
