Borna Coric Wins His First Masters 1000 Title In Cincinnati

The Westerm & Southern Open in Cincinnati ended on Sunday, with Borna Coric and Caroline Garcia being titled the singles champions.

Borna Coric ended his dream week in Cincinnati by winning the Rookwood Cup. On his way to the title, the Croat beat Rafael Nadal, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Tsitsipas got off to a good start in Sunday’s final by breaking Coric early and going up 3-0. But in the seventh game, the 25-year-old got back on track, and the set went to a tie-break. Coric won the tie-break by a score of 7–0, which gave him the first set.

In the first game of the second set, Borna Coric was down 40-0, but he won five points in a row to hold serve. After a few close games, the Croat got a key break in the sixth game to go up 4-2 and win the match.

Borna Coric, who has been hurt a lot over the past few years, won a very important match. Because of how well he played in Cincinnati, the Croat moved up 123 spots in the rankings and is now 29th.
