Who Is Judy Tenuta’s Husband? Famous Comedian Passes Away At Age 72!

Judy Tenuta died on Thursday. She was a brash stand-up comedian who called herself the “Love Goddess” and toured with George Carlin during the golden age of comedy in the 1980s. She turned 72.

The Associated Press’s publicist Roger Neal said that Tenuta died Thursday afternoon at home in Los Angeles, surrounded by her family. Cancer of the ovaries was what killed her.

Neal said, “She was a very funny and great performer, and it was always fun to be around her.”

Neal said that Tenuta said she was born on November 7, 1965, but she was actually born in 1949. “She was old-fashioned, so she never told her real age, but now that she’s gone, we can find out what it was,” he said.

Her heart-shaped face and puffed-up hair with a flower on top gave the impression that she was sweet and innocent, but this was quickly broken by her loud, gravelly voice and sarcastic humor, which included expletives. She used an accordion as part of her act. She called it “an instrument of love and submission,” which is a sweet way to put it.

In 1988, Judy Tenuta married comedian and performer Emo Philips. But neither the date of the couple’s split nor the reason for it is given. But it doesn’t seem to have stopped the woman, because when she performs, it’s like she owns the stage.

Emo lamented the loss of Judy on Twitter on the sixth of October. To win her over, he related one of his favorite anecdotes about her from way back when.

He wrote on Twitter, “My favorite Judy Tenuta story: after a show, the comic who opened for her is driving her to their next gig; while they’re crossing cornfields at 2 AM, he asks, ‘So what did you think of my act?’ and she answers, ‘Ask me again when we get a bit closer to town.'”
