Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana Thompson and is now 18 years old, shared the news on Instagram, expressing that Anna had been in significant pain but is now at peace. The family rose to fame on the child beauty pageant show “Toddlers & Tiaras” before gaining their own show, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

In an emotional post, Honey Boo Boo expressed the profound sadness of losing her 29-year-old sister and acknowledged Anna’s year-long battle with the devastating disease. Despite the difficulty, she highlighted Anna’s resilience and fighting spirit, stating that she would have wanted Anna to witness her college graduation. Anna Cardwell: From Reality TV Fame To A Private Life In Georgia

Initially rising to fame as a reality TV personality, she made her debut on Toddlers & Tiaras in the episode titled “Precious Moments Pageant 2011,” which aired on January 4, 2012. The episode showcased her competitive spirit as she faced off against fellow pageant contestants Heaven and Laci.

Subsequently, she gained further recognition on the show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which chronicled the day-to-day lives of the Shannon family. Known by the nickname Chickadee, she is no longer married as of 2021, having previously tied the knot with Michael Cardwell, an Alabama native. Their wedding took place on May 25, 2014, following a period of dating.
