Bryshere Yazuan Gray was born on November 28, 1993. He is an American actor and rapper who goes by the stage name Yazz the Greatest or just Yazz. Gray is best known for playing Hakeem Lyon on the Fox primetime musical drama TV show Empire. He is also known for playing Michael Bivins in the BET miniseries The New Edition Story, which aired in 2017.
Bryshere Gray was arrested in 2020 for hitting his wife. He could have been sent to jail for 10 days and given 3 years of probation. But he is now in jail again. According to TMZ, former “Empire” star Bryshere Gray has been arrested again. This time, he is said to have broken his probation after pleading guilty to aggravated assault last year.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a woman in Maricopa, AZ called the police last week and said she and the man were dating, but “his behavior was getting worse and she was afraid for her safety.”
The woman told the doctors that Gray threw a box of food at her and pulled her hair. She also said he shouted at her in other situations.
Bryshere Gray is currently married to Candice Jimdar. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
The couple lived in Arizona, and they spent a lot of time there. Gray called it an “open relationship,” saying, “We also have an open relationship, so I let her have a boyfriend because I’m so busy.”
The two have tried to keep their relationship quiet and out of the spotlight.

Gray’s wife found a good Samaritan who helped her call the police at around 10:15 p.m. on the day of the attack.
The caller said that an adult woman told him that her husband attacked her at their home. The woman did not give her name but said she was Bryshere’s wife.
When the police showed up, the woman told them that he had beaten her for hours and choked her until she was unconscious at their home. His wife has many visible injuries and said she had been strangled until she lost consciousness. Gray was locked inside his house when police arrived.
He refused to leave the house, so a team of negotiators and the SWAT talked to him for over nine hours to get him to leave. Gray was eventually taken into custody on July 14, 2020, after he turned himself in. He was charged with aggravated assault, assault, and disorderly conduct.

His wife was taken to a hospital to get treatment for her wounds, but the wounds were not thought to be life-threatening, so she has since been released. After serving 10 days in county jail, Gray will be on probation for three more years.
During those three years, he will have to take drug and alcohol tests and pay back money to his wife. Gray has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD, but he won’t take his medicine, which bothers his wife.
