Carnival Row Season 2 is one of the most eagerly anticipated Amazon Prime Video releases coming to the streaming service, but now that filming for the steampunk fantasy TV series has concluded, fans are unsure if the next season will be released in March 2022. The new season has been eagerly anticipated by viewers since the show’s early renewal in 2019, however the COVID-19 epidemic caused numerous production challenges.
The first season of Carnival Row closes with a shocking revelation regarding Philo’s identity and some grave consequences for anybody who is even slightly different in the Burgue, as a vicious apartheid is instituted. Here’s what we know about the Carnival Row season 2 release date because it’s obvious that things will be very different when we next encounter Philo and the rest of Burgue’s residents.
When will Carnival Row Season 2 be available on Amazon Prime is perhaps the most urgent query fans have right now. Unfortunately, the streaming service hasn’t stated a release date for the second season of the show.
Despite the fact that the second season’s filming was finished in September 2021, it is not yet complete. Naturally, the ongoing epidemic prevented work on Carnival Row from getting done in 2020. Season 2 would have already been available if the delay hadn’t occurred, therefore it is quite upsetting.
Fans will need to exercise patience, though. It’s true that filming was finished months ago, but due to the series’ extensive use of special effects (Cara Delevigne doesn’t really have wings), there is still a lot of work to be done in post-production. It will likely be released in the summer of 2022, little over a year after filming had finished, if we had to guess.

Aside from that, it’s unclear whether Amazon will release the entire season at once or if it’ll adhere to the weekly timetable that worked remarkably well for other shows like The Boys and Invincible. Given that it sustains interest and conversation for a lot longer than the standard “binge” strategy, it appears likely that the streaming service will use the regular release methodology.
Sorry, but since Amazon hasn’t yet published the official Carnival Row Season 2 synopsis, it’s unclear what the main mystery or motivation will be. The second season, however, is probably going to focus on how segregation impacts the Burgue and all of its residents.
The first season centers on Philo looking into a succession of brutal killings before realizing it was the Darkasher, an evil creature made from of dead bodies.
The monster was in charge when Vignette killed Piety Breakspear (Indira Varma), who was searching for the identity of her husband’s illegitimate kid.
When the authorities separate the Fae and the other magical beings from “regular” humans, the Burgue devolves into anarchy and the season ends.
However, Philo decides to stick with Vignette out of solidarity after admitting that he is half-Fae. Who says there’s no more love, huh?

The racial laws of Chancellor Jonah Breakspear (Artemas Froushan) are likely to be challenged by the Fae. It will be intriguing to watch how Erik Oleson, the new showrunner, approaches it from the perspective of Carnival Row’s neo-noir fantasy.
Tamzin Merchant told EW that “Imogen and Agreus [David Gyasi] get on the ship at the end of season 1, and everything is grand for the first five minutes of season 2 — and then things go very badly wrong for them.” This was a small tease of what to expect from Agreus and Imogen’s storyline in the new season.
