About Chris Cuomo’s Wife And The Capitol Riots Debate

Christopher Charles Cuomo, an American television journalist, currently serves as an anchor at NewsNation, headquartered in New York City. Prior to this role, he held positions such as the ABC News chief law and justice correspondent, co-anchor for ABC’s 20/20, and news anchor for Good Morning America from 2006 to 2009.

Cuomo, brother of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and son of ex-Governor Mario Cuomo, faced suspension and eventual termination from CNN in November 2021 due to his involvement in his brother’s sexual harassment defense. He subsequently joined Nexstar Media Group as host of Cuomo for NewsNation.

Transitioning to a broader exploration of Chris Cuomo’s personal life, we delve into his family dynamics, shedding light on Chris Cuomo wife Cristina and their children. Additionally, we’ll examine Cuomo’s professional clashes, including his heated exchanges with Tucker Carlson regarding the Capitol riots and his contentious interview with Putin.

Chris Cuomo’s Wife, Cristina, Stuns With Memorable Wedding Entrance

Cristina and Chris exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Southampton, Cristina’s hometown. One noteworthy detail that has been widely reported is that the bride was tardy to the wedding, prompting former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, Chris’s father, to jest about whether she would arrive at all.

He humorously remarked to a New York Daily News reporter while waiting on the church steps, “I’m waiting for the bride. If she doesn’t show up, you’ll really have a great story.” Guest of a Guest, an esteemed platform focusing on New York’s high society, speculates that Cristina’s delay may have been attributed to the time it took to don her exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown.

After graduating from Cornell University, Cristina embarked on a career in media. In 2001, the same year she tied the knot, she played a pivotal role in the establishment of Niche Media alongside publishing entrepreneur Jason Binn. Her professional journey continued as she assumed the position of editorial director for Gotham and Hamptons magazines before ascending to the role of editor-in-chief at Manhattan File, a position she held for seven years.

Three years ago, in 2017, Cristina founded The Purist, a digital and print platform that she defines as a “destination to explore ways to enhance and define the life you aspire to live.” In a recent online update, she showcases her culinary skills by preparing vegan tacos—part of her self-described “quarantine cuisine”—in collaboration with chef Adam Kentworthy.

Cuomo and Carlson Clash Over Capitol Riots And Trump’s Involvement

During a wide-ranging discussion on the January 6th Capitol riots and former President Donald Trump’s involvement, NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo clashed with Tucker Carlson in an interview titled “Cuomo & Carlson: The Conversation.”

Cuomo criticized Carlson for what he perceived as a biased use of Capitol surveillance footage obtained from then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Cuomo emphasized his disagreement with Carlson’s views on the events, stating, “I think it was a riot,” attributing part of the motivation to the president.

Carlson acknowledged that “parts of it obviously were a riot” but raised concerns about the lack of transparency regarding federal agents’ presence. While the FBI denied any role in orchestrating the attack, Cuomo stressed the importance of transparency for understanding the events. He criticized Carlson for “cherry-picking” the footage, to which Carlson responded that he “aired whatever they sent me.”

It’s worth noting that Fox News terminated Carlson after the network opted to pay Dominion Voting Systems $787.5 million to settle a defamation lawsuit related to Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud in 2020.
