He went to college at Michigan State and played football there. In the fourth round of the NFL Draft in 2006, the Cincinnati Bengals picked him up.

Tupe Peko, Domata’s brother, also played in the NFL and attended Michigan State. Kyle Peko, who is Domata’s cousin, played with him on the Denver Broncos in the 2017 NFL season.

On November 26, 2017, Peko made six tackles before leaving the Broncos’ 21-14 loss at the Oakland Raiders with a sprained MCL in the fourth quarter.
