In August 2022, almost five years after they got married, country star Kelsea Ballerini and her husband Morgan Evans said they were splitting up. Fans of both musicians were sad to hear the news, and Kelsea said at the time on social media that it was “hard to find the words” to describe how she felt. 

Kelsea Ballerini Filed for Divorce From Morgan Evans Due To ‘Irreconcilable Differences’ According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Kelsea filed for divorce in Davidson County, Tennessee, in August 2022. She gave “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The singer of “Hole in the Bottle” told her fans on social media about the news. “Friends, I’ve always done my best to share my life with you in an honest and open way, while also keeping some parts of my life private as they happen. Kelsea wrote on her Instagram Story, “This is now public knowledge, so I wanted you to hear it from me directly: I’m getting a divorce.”

“They’ve been working on their marriage for a long time and have even tried therapy,” a source said at the time. They also said that the couple had “privately separated” for a short time before they broke up for good. “In the end, they decided that there was nothing else they could do but split up.”

Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans were married for almost five years before they said they were getting divorced in 2022. Ballerini and Evans met when they co-hosted an award show in Evans’ home country of Australia. But it was at the party after the show that sparks started to fly.
