Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming divorce is official now

Huang Xiaoming, 44, and Angelababy, 32, a Chinese celebrity couple, announced their divorce on social media on January 28. This put to rest rumors of trouble in their marriage that began as early as 2019.

The ex-couple posted the same message on their Weibo accounts and tagged each other in the posts: “Thankful for everything that happened in the past, we will still be family in the future.”

Both of the stars’ agencies have also put out a statement saying that the necessary steps have been taken. The statement also said that the couple had broken up on good terms and that they would share custody of their 5-year-old son, Little Sponge.

Fans have known since 2019 that Angelababy, whose real name is Angela Yeung, had stopped wearing her engagement ring.

The three members of the family were seen out together for the first time since 2018 in April of last year. However, the two adults seemed to avoid each other during the trip.

Also, Huang and Angelababy rarely went out in public together and didn’t talk much on social media.

In 2014, they went public with their relationship and got married in 2015. In 2017, they had a son not long after that.

Some people believe that the only way to have a successful marriage is to maintain an ongoing romantic relationship with one’s spouse. Angelababy, was seen having a good time at a ski resort after the news of her divorce.

On the Lunar New Year, she posted four selfies at midnight that showed she was already on vacation.

Then, on Saturday, she posted a video of herself having fun while wearing full ski gear and showing off her snowboarding skills.

Fans seemed happy to see that the star seems to be having fun now that her seven-year marriage is over. Both Angelababy and Huang posted about their breakup on social media on January 28. They said they were thankful for the past and would continue to share parenting of their five-year-old son, who they call “Little Sponge.”

Fans began to think the couple was no longer together when Angelababy stopped wearing her six-carat Chaumet diamond wedding ring, which cost US$1.6 million (RM6.7 million).
