Drew Carey has met a lot of people throughout his career, notably when hosting The Price Is Right, but has he ever said “I do” to that special someone?
The actor has never married, but it’s not for lack of trying as he has been engaged twice. Drew has been through a lot of heartbreak in the last decade when it comes to his personal life.
He got engaged to chef Nicole Jaracz in 2007 and was close to her son, Connor (who was six at the time). The couple called off their engagement in 2012. Drew met sex therapist Amie Harwick in 2017, and the two got engaged a few months later. Unfortunately, they called it quits in 2018. Drew’s rep said that the breakup was “very amicable.”

Following an alleged fight with her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, Amie died in February 2020 after falling off a balcony in her Hollywood Hills home. In a press release, the Los Angeles Police Department stated that she suffered “severe injuries consistent with a fall.” She had been strangled first, according to an autopsy at the time. Pursehouse was arrested and released on a $2 million bond shortly after Harwick’s death. He pleaded not guilty to her murder in April.
Following her passing, Carey stated on Twitter, “I hope you’re lucky enough to have someone in your life who loves as much as she did.” He was so heartbroken over the loss of his ex-fiancée that he had to put The Price Is Right on hold and cancel production the week she died.
In a statement to Closer, he stated, “Amie and I shared a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime.” “She was a force for good in the world, a persistent and unabashed champion for women who was deeply committed to her profession as a therapist.” I’m overcome with sadness. I’d like to express my gratitude in advance for granting me and everyone who loved Amie privacy as we work through this awful issue.”
48 Hours: The Final Hours of Amie Harwick willwas premiered on CBS in February 2022. Drew revealed his ex-final fiancée’s text message to him before she died. In a trailer for the episode, an emotional clip was released.
“I got a text from her saying, ‘I would love to get together with you and talk,'” recounted the TV star. “And I answered, ‘Yeah, that would be fantastic.’ ‘I love you.’
Drew was noticeably moved throughout the interview when he revealed that the two then never got the chance to meet. The news of her death left him heartbroken.
“The fact that she loved me is the most consolation I can take from it… And I’m delighted I was able to deliver that message to her before she passed away,” he added.
