Mina Starsiak Hawk is a TV show host, real estate agent, author, and co-founder of Two Chicks and a Hammer, Inc. with her mother, Karen. Mina got her degree from Indiana University and worked as a waitress for a short time before she and her mother started house flipping together in 2007.

The popular HGTV show Good Bones stars a mother and daughter, it makes sense that there has been a lot of interest in the pair’s family life. So, when Mina Starsiak Hawk and her mother Karen E. Laine are interviewed, their personal lives come up quickly.

Mina Starsiak Hawk and Steve Hawk have been married for almost six years. Steve doesn’t make an appearance on Mina’s show Good Bones, but he’s on her Instagram account a lot.

How Did Mina And Steve Meet?

Mina and Steve met in 2013 on Facebook! It was reported that they  met through mutual friends on the social media site. Mina saw a picture of him and thought he was “attractive.” They finally met in person at a baseball game. Mina was hoping that their first date would go well, but it didn’t. She told Country Living in 2018: “He ignored me all night, and his friend hit on me!”

In March 2015, Steve asked Mina to marry him. He proposed him on the field where the Indianapolis Colts practice.

After a year, on June 11, 2016, in Indianapolis, Indiana, they got married . According to Country Living ,the couple celebrated with 400 donuts instead of a wedding cake in a building from 1899 in the city.

Steve is involved in his bride’s business, Two Chicks and a Hammer, Inc. He has also helped Mina and Karen buy the houses that they later flip.

According to Steve’s Instagram bio, he is an account executive for CoStar Group, a commercial property company. In his spare time, he is a successful competitive eater, which he has specified about on his Instagram page.

How Many Children Does The Couple Have?

The couple share two children together, Jack and Charlotte.

On August 9, 2018, Jack Richard Hawk was born to Mina. Mina went back to work just one week after giving birth, bringing baby Jack with her. Whenever she films, Steve naturally takes over.

Mina posted a cute picture on Instagram that looked like a Toy Story movie poster in March of 2020 to let people know she was pregnant again. In the same post, she also shared a selfie of herself smiling widely and holding a picture of an ultrasound.

On September 16, 2020, Mina had her second child, Charlotte Drew Hawk.

In 2019, Mina Was Struggling To Get Pregnant

In an Instagram post, Mina said that the only way she could have another child was to use an egg from a donor. In the caption, she wrote, “I’ve been sharing my fertility journey publicly because I’ve heard from thousands of women that it’s helped them, but I never thought about what I would do if it didn’t work.” After saying that she didn’t have many ways to get pregnant, she ended the caption with a hopeful note: “There’s more to come.” I don’t know yet what it is. But it doesn’t feel over.”
