Know About Guthrie And Feldman’s Engagement
The story of how they got engaged is interesting: in 2019, Guthrie told Today that she and Feldman had actually broken up the day he proposed. They were on vacation in Turks and Caicos, and Guthrie felt like their relationship needed to move forward. “It got to the point where no one, including us and especially me, thought we would ever get married,” she said. “We were kind of at a point in our lives where we had to decide whether to get married or just love each other and let go.”
During their trip, she told him one morning that they would have to break up if he couldn’t decide about marriage. “I said, ‘Sweetie, I love you so much, but if we can’t decide, I think we’ve decided,'” Guthrie recalled.
Feldman got her to spend the day with him, but she spent most of the time worrying about their relationship. Guthrie didn’t know that Feldman had already bought a ring and planned to ask her to marry him that day. She said, “That night, as the sun was setting, he said, ‘Let’s open that champagne they sent us.'” He asked her to marry him, and she said yes after “about 0.2 seconds” of thinking about it.
“Our families have pretty much-been in-laws for years,” Guthrie joked on Today after she told the audience that she was getting married. “They were just waiting for us to get up to speed.”
In March 2014, Guthrie and Feldman got married in a small ceremony with about 80 to 90 guests. After saying “I do,” the couple shared some exciting news: Guthrie was expecting their first child.
