As the band’s founder, leader, lyricist, and only consistent member, he became a figurehead of the Britpop genre in the mid-1990s. Following the disbandment of Pulp, Cocker began a solo career, hosting Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service on BBC Radio 6 for seven years.
