Natasha got married to fellow comedian Moshe Kasher in 2015. Mark Moshe Kasher is an American writer, actor, and stand-up comedian who lives near Los Angeles. Leggero was born in Rockford, Illinois, on March 26, 1974. He is of Italian and Swedish descent. Leggero was raised as a Roman Catholic, but as an adult, she changed her religion to Judaism.
Leggero said the following about her childhood: “I would say we were lower middle class, but I think my mom would cry if she heard that. But my dad sold used cars and my mom worked as a bookkeeper in a locksmith shop. They got a divorce, and I remember nuns bringing us big cans of food. Then, you know, we never actually went on vacation… I had a lot of jobs when I was young. I mowed lawns, worked at a grocery store, delivered newspapers, and worked at a catering place. I certainly worked hard.”
Leggero went to Illinois State University for two years after she graduated from high school. During that time, she spent a semester studying in England.
Leggero tried out for the Stella Adler Conservatory in Chicago while she was at Illinois State. She was accepted into the theatre programme there. She then moved to New York City to study for two years at a conservatory. In 1996, she moved to Sydney, Australia with her then-boyfriend. They lived there for a year before she went back to New York to go to Hunter College, where she got a B.A. in theatre criticism and graduated in 2000. She moved to Los Angeles just before the terrorist attacks on September 11.
