Mauricio Umansky Blames The Show ‘RHOBH’ For Divorces Among The Cast
Last week, the husband of Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky went on a podcast and talked about how he and the other husbands on the show deal with their wives’ problems. He also called the Bravo reality show “toxic” and explained why he thinks it has caused so many divorces.
“We don’t let it get to us. “We made that deal a long, long time ago,” Mauricio said about himself and the other husbands on the December 8 episode of the Side Piece With Melissa Pfeister podcast. “They’re going up and down. They are going to have to get back together because they have to film again. So, at the end of the day, it’s part of the game, but we’ve all just decided that we’re not going to do it.”

Even though Mauricio doesn’t take part in RHOBH’s drama, his wife has for years. During all of those years, they have talked about Kyle’s continued participation.
“We talk about it all the time, and to be honest, it’s kind of a bad show,” he said. “Is there any question about that? So many people have opinions, and it’s their obsession, so you kind of just have to tune it all out, go about your business, entertain people, and keep living your life without letting it get to you.”
When asked why he thinks there have been so many divorces among the Real Housewives cast, Mauricio, a real estate agent, said that it’s all about reflection.
“They get to see themselves on TV, and they get to see their relationship as it is,” he said. “A lot of people have a different idea of their own relationship than what it really is, and then they see it on TV, and that’s what leads to the divorce.” “You watch how you and your wife act and how the two of you get along. This gives you a chance to think about it and see it from a different angle. When you do that, you start to think, “Holy crap!”
Mauricio said that he does his best to help his wife Kyle when things get too busy and he’s always very supportive of Kyle’s role in the show.
