Da Brat And Jesseca are Expecting Their First Baby Together
The first step on the motherhood journey for De Brat and Jesseca was taking the famous “I do” vows on February 2 of the previous year. She says that the tongue-in-cheek marketing tagline for their partnership “We’re extending our family!” began as a joke between the two of them. “We’re extending our family!” “But then we received a significant number of responses. It was like, “Oh my Goodness, do we genuinely want to have kids, and if we do, girl, we had best hurry up and have them!”
Harris-Dupart already had three children before they got together. Kids were never really part of the plan for Da Brat. She says, “I never thought I’d have children.” “I just thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. I’ve had a great job and an interesting life. I thought that since I hadn’t gotten pregnant before, it wasn’t going to happen for me.”
That is until she met Harris-Dupart and fell in love with her. Da Brat says, “I started to see life in a very different way.” “I said, “I want a little bit of me in you.” Something unique from both of us that we can share, raise, and love no matter what.”
The couple is now 18 weeks pregnant. They chose an anonymous donor from their cryo bank who was called “an eager entrepreneur.” Da Brat says, “She’s well into her second trimester now.” “It’s a good thing. I’m happy!” She is also tired. “She also says, “I don’t feel hungry or sick, but I’m always tired.” It’s insane!”
