David Byrne is a singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actor, writer, music theorist, visual artist, and filmmaker who was born in Scotland and grew up in the United States. He was one of the people who started the American new wave band Talking Heads. He was also the band’s main songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist.
Byrne has put out solo albums and worked in many different fields, such as film, photography, opera, fiction, and nonfiction. He has won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, a Tony Award, and a Golden Globe Award. As a member of the band Talking Heads, he is also in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

David Byrne is not married right now, but he has been married before and has been in a few other relationships. In 1981, he was with Toni Basil for a short time, and from 1981 to 1982, he was with Twyla Tharp.
Byrne met his ex-wife costume designer Adelle Lutz in Japan in 1982. On July 18, 1987, they said their wedding vows. Malu Abeni Valentine Byrne is their daughter, who was born after they got married. In 1989, she was born. In 2016, Malu talked about her middle name, which is “Abeni.” She said that it is a Nigerian word that means “We asked for her, and she came to us.”
The couple had trouble getting pregnant, and one of her parents’ friends came up with the name when she was finally born. In 2004, Byrne and Lutz divorced. He started dating art curator and Gagosian Gallery sales director Louise Neri after he got divorced. He was also with the artist Cindy Sherman from 2007 to 2011.

Meet David Byrne’s Ex-Wife, Adelle Lutz
Adelle Lutz is an American artist, designer, and actress. She is best known for her work with clothing as a way to communicate that uses unusual materials and methods. She first got noticed for the strange “Urban Camouflage” costumes she made for the movie True Stories by David Byrne (1986).
Lutz was born in Ohio, in Lakewood, on November 13, 1948. Her mother, Mona Miwako Furuki, was from Japan and studied fashion. Her father, Walter Lutz, was an American businessman who worked in international trade. Their collection of more than 4,000 Asian bamboo works and objects is now part of the Denver Art Museum and was shown in the Walter + Mona Lutz Gallery, which Adelle helped design for the museum.

Between 1986 and 1995, Lutz also worked as an actress in addition to making costumes. In an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, her first part was a small one as a ghost who haunted the wife of her ex-lover (“The Canary Sedan”). She also had small parts in Tim Burton’s 1988 film Beetlejuice, Wim Wenders’ 1991 film Until the End of the World, and Elizabeth Pea and Andrew McCarthy’s 1994 film Dead Funny.
