On Thursday (8 Dec) in Night Football matchup between the Raiders and the Los Angeles Rams, Derek Carr continued to climb the NFL record books. As ESPN Stats & Info noted, Carr passed current Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for the fourth-most passing yards in his first nine seasons in the first quarter of TNF. At the time, Carr’s career throwing yards were at 34,759. Carr is one of only three quarterbacks to break the nine-year passing record, and the other two are Hall of Famers.
If you are unfamiliar, Derek Dallas Carr is a quarterback in the National Football League for the Las Vegas Raiders. A three-time Pro Bowler, Carr led the Raiders to their first postseason berth since 2002. In 2021, under his direction, Las Vegas qualified for the playoffs again. Carr is one of the most genuine shot callers out there, and a lot of his positive energy comes from his wife, Heather Carr. In this article, we’ll talk about his wife Heather Carr.
Meet Derek Carr’s Wife, Heather Carr
Heather Carr was born in Fresno, California, on January 3, 1990. She went to Fresno Christian High School. She went to Fresno State for college after graduating from high school because she wanted to stay close to home. Heather Neel lives in Las Vegas with her husband. She was a cheerleader for Fresno Christian High School and Fresno State when she was in high school and college, respectively. She was also working as a waitress at BJ’s Brewhouse to earn money while she finished school.
Heather Carr and Derek Carr went to the same college, but they didn’t meet until the quarterback went to BJ’s Brewhouse during his sophomore year. Carr was eating at Neel’s table, so he used a pick-up line to get her attention.”I had diamond studs in my ears, and I knew I had both of them. “Why do you only have one earring on?” he asked. ” And that made me check my ears. “That’s your pick-up line?” I asked. ” (It worked) it did work” she told in an interview with ABC7

Inside Derek And Heather’s Love Story
After Derek and Heather met for the first time, Derek got up the courage to ask her out. He also asked Heather to pick him up because he wanted to show her off to her friends.
“She was so pretty that I wanted to show her off to my friends. They wouldn’t take me seriously. I’m sending her a text. She is so pretty. I’m going to marry her. And they’d make fun of me. We hadn’t even met each other yet.”
Even though his grandparents taught him to be a strong Christian, Derek Carr liked to go to parties, especially when he was the star quarterback for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Heather Neel, who was also a strong Christian, did not like this.
Heather actually wrote me a letter that said, ‘You’re not the person I thought you were,'” Carr said. “I read it, and I remember standing up in front of my teammates and telling them, ‘Hey, I’ve been telling you I’m a Christian, but I’ve been going to parties and all that. And that’s completely wrong.’ That’s when I kind of got it right.”
Heather thought it was funny, and the two of them started dating soon after. Heather and Derek got married on June 29, 2012
