PGA Golfer, Arrested For Alleged Assault On Wife
Erik Compton has been arrested following an incident. According to the police, the occurrence took place shortly after 9:30 PM on a Saturday evening ie. on 19 August 2023, at the residence of the couple, situated in the Glenvar Heights vicinity along Southwest 70th Avenue.
As per a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest report, a verbal argument between Compton and his wife escalated when she began recording with her cellphone during a dispute over “relationship issues.” Allegedly, Compton, aged 43, grabbed the phone from her and tossed it into their pool.

Compton, then purportedly threw her into a wall, resulting in minor bruises on her left arm. Following the incident, Compton’s wife went to a friend’s place, contacted the police, while Compton invoked his right to an attorney and didn’t provide information to the police.
The golfer, hailing from Miami and a graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High School, was subsequently arrested on a second-degree felony charge of strong-armed robbery and a misdemeanor battery charge. Compton was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center but later posted bail.
