In the clip, she says, “We’ve been together for a few years, and she said she wanted to come to England because my family said I should go there every year for Christmas. I said that was fine, but when she met my mom, I told her not to touch her because she was a tough Nigerian woman who liked to hug.”
“What I didn’t know was that Nina was her daughter. When we got to England, my mom was a daughter, so I said, Hey, mom, Merry Christmas, etc.” Nina walked in and said, “I got it. I got it.”
“Hello, Mrs. Yasheri. Is she brown? Okay. In Nigerian culture, when you meet an older person, you kind of bow or kneel down. I didn’t know Nina had been on Google.”
