Alison Riske-Amritraj is an American pro tennis player. She was ranked world No. 18 for career-high singles in November 2019 and won her first WTA Tour title at the Tianjin Open in October 2014.
Alicia Riske has had a pretty successful career so far, winning a few WTA titles and even more on the ITF circuit. She’s had some good runs at the Grand Slam tournaments too, like making it to the fourth round of the Australian Open in 2020, getting to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2019, and reaching the fourth round of the US Open way back in 2013.

Stephen Amritraj is part of the Amritraj family, a tennis family that has had a big presence in Indian tennis since the 1970s. His uncle, Vijay Amritraj, was a successful player who made it to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon twice. Stephen’s dad, Anand Amritraj, and Vijay even played doubles together and were part of the Indian team that made it to the finals of the Davis Cup in 1974.
Stephen, a former Indian-American tennis pro, climbed to the peak of his career at world no. 973 in 2007. He is also the cousin of another player, Prakash Amritraj, who represented India in Davis Cup despite having US citizenship. Stephen and Alison’s romance blossomed around 2014.

Alison Riske and Stephen Amritraj’s relationship began in April 2014. They were first spotted together on social media in one of Stephen’s tweets which Alison later mentioned as her favorite. They continued to share pictures together on Instagram throughout 2014 and 2015. Reporters began to refer to Stephen as Alison’s coach but she quickly corrected them on Twitter by stating that he was her boyfriend.
In 2016, the couple announced their engagement, and later they got hitched in Pittsburgh in July 2019. As of now, they don’t have any children together.

Alison is the daughter of Al and Carol Riske. Her dad took her out to hit her when she was three years old. Her father was in the Secret Service and then worked as an FBI agent. Her mother was a teacher, but both of them are now retired. Sarah, her sister, is also a tennis player. She played for Vanderbilt University and for a short time as a pro, getting as high as No. 372 in the world. Dan, her brother, played tennis in college for West Liberty State and is now an Accountant.

Alicia Riske had a bit of a rough start to the 2022 year, losing in the final at the Adelaide International to Madison Keys, and then getting knocked out early at the Australian Open by Jelena Ostapenko. But she was able to bounce back at Indian Wells, winning her next singles match before losing in the third round to Keys again. The Miami Open went similarly, with Riske losing in the third round to Naomi Osaka.
But she had a decent showing on the grass at the Nottingham Open, reaching the final but falling to Beatriz Haddad Maia. At the US Open, she made it to the fourth round but lost to Caroline Garcia.
