Charles Joseph Crist Jr. is an American lawyer and politician who was born on July 24, 1956. From 2017 to 2022, he was the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 13th congressional district.
Between 2007 and 2011, he was the 44th governor of Florida. Since 2012, Crist has been a part of the Democratic Party. He first ran for office as a Republican, but in 2010, he switched to being an Independent.
Crist was in the Florida Senate from 1993 to 1999. In 1998, he ran against Bob Graham for the U.S. Senate but lost. From 2001 to 2003, he was the state’s Education Commissioner, and from 2003 to 2007, he was the state’s, Attorney General. In 2006, he was elected governor.

He calls her “beautiful inside and out” and “the sweetest, nicest person I’ve ever met besides my own mother.”
There has been no public announcement of the engagement, and Crist said in an interview that there are no formal wedding plans, but he hopes it will be “sooner rather than later,” possibly before the November election.
