Darius Rucker and Beth Leonard, his wife of 20 years, parted ways.
After 20 years of marriage, singer Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish and his wife, Beth Leonard, announced their separation about two years ago on Saturday, July 11.
“Beth and I would like to share that after much thought, we have decided to consciously uncouple,” he wrote in the caption of a photo of them at the CMA Awards in 2017. He was referring to the phrase Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin used when they broke up in 2014.
“We’re still close friends and co-parents, and we’re still each other’s biggest fans,” he said. “Our beautiful family will always come first. We care a lot about each other and love each other very much. We will continue to help each other grow and change. Please be kind as we go through this, and we thank you always for your love and support.”
Daughter Daniella, 19, and son Jack, 15, were born to the couple after their wedding in 2000. Additionally, the country artist has a 25-year-old daughter named Carolyn from a prior relationship.
Rucker and Leonard first crossed paths in 1998 while he was visiting New York City with Hootie & the Blowfish and she was working for VH1.

Why did Kate Quigley and Darius Rucker split?
Rucker and Quigley were supposedly romantically together as recently as the start of summer 2021. They supposedly dated for a significant portion of last year, just after the divorce of the former frontman of Hootie and the Blowfish. The couple has reportedly broken up, according to TMZ. The couple is alleged to have broken up less than a year into their relationship. None of them have made a statement outlining the cause of their breakup.
The caption of a photo of Quigley and Rucker wearing matching T-shirts that she posted on Instagram in May said, “These couples are the worst.” On Quigley’s Instagram profile, there is only one image of the ex-couple that is currently up.
The comedian Kate Quigley made news over the weekend after it was stated that she overdosed on cocaine that had been laced with fentanyl and ended up in the hospital. After overdosing on the substance at the Venice, Los Angeles, home of comedian Fuquan Johnson, who also died in the incident, she was discovered by police on September 3 and sent to the hospital.

Later, a close friend of hers named Brian Redban shared screenshots of a chat with Quigley on Instagram, revealing that she is in really bad shape. “I’m still here. I’m not very good. But I’m alright,” Quigley texted Redban after sending her a message, adding, “Text me if you are alright.” Also included was the caption, “I’ve had a difficult month. And I’ve been destroyed by this. Give your loved ones a hug, “the narrative. Apart from the rumored idea that she was dating singer-songwriter Darius Rucker, not much is known about Quigley’s love life. He hasn’t addressed Quigley’s health as of yet.
