JD Vance has been married to practicing lawyer Usha Chilukuri since 2014. Usha Chilukuri, who is 36 years old, is a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles, & Olson. They have three children together.
Usha and JD were law school classmates at Yale.
She told reporter Megyn Kelly in 2017 that she was attracted to JD because of his positive attitude: “He felt very different.” Usha worked as the Managing Editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology and the Executive Development Editor of the Yale Law Journal while she was in school.

Usha and J.D. Vance are raising three kids together: two sons and a daughter. In 2017, Ewan Blaine, the couple’s first son, was born.
