On Saturday (January 7), Kevin Lemons’s family confirmed the news that the 44-year-old Atlanta gospel singer had passed away, calling his death a “sudden loss.”
The Lemons family shared the news of Kevin’s death on Instagram with the caption, “It is with great sadness that we announce the transition of our Founder – Kevin Lemons. Please keep his wife Tiunna, Family and Higher Calling lifted in prayer as we all process this sudden loss. Thank you all for the outpouring of love already shown. We are so appreciative and grateful for each of you! 🍋🕊️”

Kevin Lemons was married to his wife Tiunna from May 2007 until he died in January of this year. The couple’s 15th wedding anniversary was in the early summer of last year. Since 1996, when Kevin Lemons started his career as a gospel singer, they had been friends.
According to Tiunna Lemons’ social media profile, she refers to herself as an entrepreneur. On Kevin Lemons’s website, it says that he and his wife have been working together to make choir music more popular. Tiunna, his wife even posted a photo on Instagram of her husband’s passing and wrote, “It is with great sadness that I must officially announce the passing of my Husband, THEE KEVIN SEAN LEMONS…..while my heart s heavy, my faith is strong. I thank you all in advance for your calls, prayers, and words of encouragement. We will announce details as time permits. At this time we are not doing visitation and will communicate properly when allowed. Thank you all across the world in advance for your sympathy and understanding.”
Kevin and Tiunna tried for 14 years to start a family but were unsuccessful. They had hoped to adopt twin girls last year, but the procedure never went through.
