Reality TV couples often face significant challenges in maintaining long-lasting relationships. However, several couples from the reality show “Married at First Sight” have defied the odds and proved that they can make their relationship work.
Multiple couples, matched by relationship experts in the Lifetime series, consent to marry when they meet for the first time, but ultimately opt to end their relationship. One of the couples is Lindy And Miguel.
During the 15th season of the show, Lindy and Miguel were among the couples who chose to stay together on “Decision Day,” and they even reached a compromise on changing their last names.
According to an exclusive report, Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago-Medina, who married during the 15th season of the Lifetime reality show in 2022, have decided to end their relationship and are separating.
Why Did Lindy and Miguel Decide To Get Divorce?
On Monday, February 13, Lindy announced their separation, “It is with great heartbreak Miguel and I are announcing our divorce. “Sadly, it’s impossible to stay married if both people are not equally committed to the success of the marriage. Marrying a stranger on national TV has been a very painful, overwhelming, and confusing process.”
Lindy has stated that she doesn’t have any misgivings about marrying Miguel on the show. She mentions that they are pleased to have had the chance to develop an authentic connection, and despite the challenges, they are thankful for the opportunity to participate in this experiment, even though it didn’t work out for them.
Lindy continued, “It is our hope that viewers understand you see very little of our lives during the short duration of filming. While it is easy to cast judgment and make assumptions, please remember we are just regular people who decided to take a leap of faith.”
On the other side, Miguel posted a statement on his Instagram and captioned it, “Divorce feels like you’ll never quite smile the same way again. It’s a sorrow that just lingers. I know with time, I’ll heal, and Lindy will too. But until then, be considerate with your comments. On my page, I have a zero-tolerance for any negative comments towards Lindy, so save yourself the trouble coz it’s gonna get deleted anyway.”
A Look Into Lindy and Miguel’s Relationship
In the 15th season of Lifetime’s “Married at First Sight,” the duo tied the knot in early 2022. They formed an immediate connection after meeting at the altar, and their strong relationship at the end of the season didn’t come as a surprise to viewers.
After the cast reunited several months later, it was revealed that they were still together, and Lindy expressed her contentment about getting the man she had wished for.
There has been speculation about the couple for some time now, and while she has been active on social media, Lindy hasn’t mentioned Miguel since asking for privacy and posting pictures from their wedding.
In November, Lindy shared a wedding reel on Instagram and requested privacy. She asked everyone to respect her and Miguel’s privacy as they work on their marriage. She wrote, “We have shared so much of our relationship and are loving the peace of not filming a TV show. Thank you for understanding, we love you all!”
