Amar’e Carsares Stoudemire is an Israeli-American professional basketball coach and former player. He was most recently a player development assistant for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. He played in the NBA All-Star Game six times and was picked for the All-NBA Team five times, including once for the first team in 2007.

Before leaving the NBA in 2016, he played for the Suns, the New York Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Miami Heat. At the 2004 Olympic Games, Stoudemire won a bronze medal with the United States team. He has a record label, and a clothing line, and has written a series of books for children for Scholastic Press.

Recently Amar’s has been arrested for the charge of domestic violence. Later on Sunday, he was given a no-contact order and a $1,500 bond. He then said on Instagram that the misdemeanor battery charge against him was false. Amar’e said, “It’s an accusation based on a report that doesn’t match up with the facts.” According to Radar Online, it is known that Amar’e and Alexis got married in 2012 and filed for divorce in August 2020. In April 2021, their divorce was finalized.

Alexis is active on Instagram under the name @lex_a_s. According to her Instagram bio, she refers herself as a ‘Professional Negative Energy Blocker’. She also runs a podcast under the handle @dearyoungqueen in which she talks about “All the things I wished women told me when I was younger 👑” However there is not much information about her on the internet.

Amar’e Stoudemire And His Wife Were Married twice

When Amar’e and his wife Alexis met, they were both only 19. “19-year-olds have short attention spans, but she had a good heart and came from a good family. So, as we spent more and more time together, we started to fall in love,” the former NBS star told Essence Magazine.

After dating for years, they decided to take their relationship to the next step. After being together for ten years, Amar’e Stoudemire wanted his wife Alexis to experience the wedding of her dreams, so he decided to had two weddings. The forward for the New York Knicks, who had previously wed Alexis on December 12, 2012, at their home in New York City in front of an audience of 12 people, staged a second ceremony and a lavish reception on Saturday evening in Miami, Florida.  Stoudemire’s teammates on the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony, and Tyson Chandler, as well as Grant Hill and producers Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and his wife, musician Alicia Keys, were reportedly there at the party.

After giving birth to their fourth child, a son named Alijah Carsares, Alexis got married just five weeks after the baby was born. The couple also has a son named Amar e Jr., who is six years old, and two daughters named Ar’e and Assata, both of whom are five years old.

Alexis Welch, who has been married to Amar’e for a long time, filed for divorce on August 20, 2020. After a month, Amar’e sent in his answer to the case.

On December 21, a final decision was made about the end of the marriage. The two said that they had come to an agreement about how to split their assets and who would get custody of their children. The order said that the agreement covered their four children: Ar’e, Amar’e Jr., Assata, and Alijah, who was born in 2013. Amar’e and Alexis agreed to “share parental responsibility for the minor children and enjoy time-sharing.”
