Niccolò “Nico” Mannion, is an Italian-American basketball player currently with Saski Baskonia in the Spanish Liga ACB and EuroLeague. Nico Mannion Illness: He Recovered From An Intestinal Infection
Former Golden State Warriors guard Nico Mannion has reportedly made a full recovery from a severe intestinal infection he contracted overseas, as reported by Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Mannion had initially started experiencing the health issue while representing the Italian national team during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
While the exact cause of the infection remains unknown, Mannion visibly experienced significant weight loss as a result of it.

During the summer of 2021, Mannion was with Virtus Bologna in Italy following his season with the Warriors. Unfortunately, he was unable to play due to the infection. However, he managed to regain 17 pounds of the weight he had lost and commenced individual training.
