Phil Mickelson’s Divorce With Amy -Everything We Know!

Phil Mickelson is one of golf’s most decorated players of all time. With 45 victories on the PGA Tour, the left-hander is currently ranked ninth all-time with six Major titles. He won the 2021 PGA Championship at the age of 50 years, 11 months, and 7 days, making him the oldest Major Championship winner ever.

Since winning his first PGA Tour championship in 1991, Phil’s career has been defined by one constant: his wife, Amy, whom he met in 1992.

The pair met in 1992 while both attending Arizona State University. Phil was a senior at the time, and Amy was a junior who was also a member of the Phoenix Suns NBA Cheerleading group. “When he told me he was a pro golfer, I assumed he worked in a golf course shop,” she explained.

They married four years later, in 1996, and have three children together. Amanda was born a day after Phil finished second to Payne Stewart in the 1999 US Open. Sophia was born in 2001, followed by Evan in 2003. Amy ruptured an artery during the birth, and Evan was unable to breathe for a short period of time, but thankfully both survived.

Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, and Phil’s involvement on the PGA Tour was halted as a result. She returned to witness her husband play golf in 2010 when he won his third Green Jacket at the Masters.

Amy has been given a clean bill of health after an 11-month battle with cancer. Amy has been active in breast cancer research fundraising as a result of her personal experience with the disease.

The Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation was founded in 2004 with the goal of providing help to kids and families via a range of projects.

It has also generated funds for military causes, and in 2019, The Mickelson Foundation was named the host organization of The American Express PGA Tour tournament, making Phil one of just a few PGA Tour players to do so, including Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Arnold Palmer. The inaugural year was a huge success, with $1 million raised for Coachella Valley charity.

The couple had been through a lot together. Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, but she conquered it after an 11-month battle and is now in good health.
