One of the most difficult times in Rachel Bilson’s life was going through a breakup during the epidemic, she recently admitted.
During a number of recent podcast appearances, the O.C. star made a rare public comment regarding her prior relationship with Bill Hader. In the course of her discussion with Aubrey Plaza on Tuesday’s episode of her show Broad Ideas, Bilson remarked that she and Hader were formally an item “two years ago.” Plaza was taken aback by the news and exclaimed, “Are you serious?” I’m not sure what I’m talking about. “I haven’t got a clue.” “We dated,” Bilson said, “and I went to the f**king Golden Globes [with him].”

Rachel Bilson and Bill Hader were first seen grabbing coffee together in December 2019, sparking rumors that they were dating. They announced their relationship by strolling the Golden Globes red carpet together in January 2020, albeit they would break up in July of the same year.
Bilson also discussed the difficulties of breaking up with someone while in quarantine on last week’s episode of Broad Ideas. The actress told her guest Mandy Moore that she “went through a pretty painful breakup and it was during the epidemic,” though she didn’t name her ex by name.
“I could not leave my house, you know what I mean? I had nothing else to do but sit in it, and deal with it and feel it. It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, harder than childbirth.” The end of that relationship “hurt like a motherfu**er,” Bilson continued, but it also taught her that “if you genuinely face it, you can come out of it and be like, ‘OK, I did that, and I’m ready for the next thing.'”
Hayden Christensen, whom she dated from 2008 until 2017, was the actress’s previous engagement. Briar Rose, their 7-year-old daughter, is also theirs. Bilson is presently dating artist Zac LaRoc, although she previously told former Bachelor star Nick Viall on his podcast in July 2019 that dating as a single mom has been especially challenging for her. “[Briar] hasn’t met anyone [I’ve dated] yet,” she told Viall, “and it would have to be someone I know I’m going to be with.” “It’d have to be a pretty serious relationship,” says the narrator.

On Monday afternoon (May 23), the 40-year-old Hart of Dixie actress was photographed in Malibu, California, and seemed to be having a fantastic time on the beach in Malibu with her new partner Zac LaRoc.
The actress, who was dressed in a tie-dye sweater, black sweatpants, and UGG boots, appeared to enjoy her partner’s affection and afterward showed a bright smile while wandering the beach.
While sunbathing at the beach, Rachel was joined by Zac and a bunch of friends. The new pair didn’t mind showing their affection in front of their loved ones!
Rachel and Zac appear to have been dating for quite some time, as they were last seen together in October 2021. They haven’t shared any Instagram photographs together yet, but he has a private account that she follows.

For the outing, the California native concealed her long dark hair beneath a black baseball cap and wore a pair of black sunglasses.
Her other half, on the other hand, wore a grey hoodie and a pair of grey shorts for the day.
Zac wore a hat as well, but unlike his partner, he chose to walk around the beach barefoot.
The couple was previously seen out on a date in October 2021, when they visited the Van Gogh exhibit in Los Angeles.
The couple reunites six months after the Lovestruck actress made her red carpet debut with Bill Hader, 43, at the Golden Globes in 2020, only to call it quits six months later.
Prior to Hader, the O.C. alumna was engaged to Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen, 41, but the couple called off their engagement in August 2010, before the wedding.
