Jonathan James McCarthy is an American Football quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines and was born on January 20, 2003. In week two of the 2022 season, he became Michigan’s starting quarterback.

The fullback for the Michigan Wolverines is said to have been dating Katya Kuropas for a long time. On his Instagram, there are a lot of pictures of him and his girlfriend having a great time traveling in different parts of the world.
Even though they have been together for four years, they are not yet engaged. According to some sources, McCarthy and Katya started dating on October 9, 2018, Also, McCarthy hasn’t said anything else about his lover or how they are together.

Know About JJ McCarthy 2022 Season
McCarthy and Cade McNamara both wanted to be the starting quarterback for Michigan. Before the first game, Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of Michigan, said that the competition was close and would continue at least for the first two games, with McNamara starting against Colorado State and McCarthy starting against Hawaii.
McCarthy started and played most of the first half against Hawaii. He completed 11 of 12 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns as the Wolverines led 42–0 at halftime. At his press conference after the game, Harbaugh said that McCarthy would start against UConn in week 3. He also said, “He’s the starter going forward based on merit.”

McCarthy stayed as Michigan’s starting quarterback and completed 15 of 18 passes for 214 yards against UConn, 18 of 26 passes for 220 yards against Maryland, and 18 of 24 passes for 155 yards against Iowa. On October 8, against Indiana, he completed 28 of 36 passes for 304 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick. After the first six games of the 2022 season, he had completed 94 of 120 passes for 1,151 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception, giving him a quarterback rating of 186.94.
